Laughter is the only way to get us through all seven days of the week! Every day of ours is filled with nonsense and shenanigans, and we love to let you in on them, so welcome to the weekly review of our antics beginning the week of 12-17-18. Let the laughter commence!
Monday’s Laughter
I had a slow start to my day.. I just wasn’t feeling well. But I got up, showered, put on makeup, faked a smile, and made myself look presentable.
Mondays are set aside for counseling, so I went. Our therapist Randy was on his A-game because he was so caring and intentional with his listening. I could really feel the care and healing emanating from him.
After therapy, my friend Lorraine and I went to have our hair styled. I became a natural blonde again, with the help of highlights and peroxide, while Lorraine had a haircut. We both walked out of the salon looking smoking hot!
I really have to give credit to my colorist. She does such a good job; my hair never looks as good as when she styles it.
Tuesday’s Laughter
Tuesday was on an “off” day for me. I just didn’t feel well. I was a little down and unmotivated, so I recorded my thoughts on what I thought was wrong and how I would help myself feel better. To find out what you can do in that situation, here at this link.
Even though I was feeling unwell, I worked on my crochet project.
I’m really starting to get the knack of it. I’ve really branched out from just crocheting plain squares to making crocheted toilet seat covers to keep my friends’ bums comfortable when they have to sit. (Seriously. I found this on Pinterest. Who knew there was such a thing or even a need as a crochet toosh warmer?!)
When I gave them to my friends, they were so happy they were speechless.
Wednesday’s Laughter
I stayed inside on Wednesday and devoted time to social media and networking. I connected with some great bloggers and was feeling really loved and accepted.
No feelings of not being good enough here.
Thursday’s Laughter
I went to the surgical center for an epidural in my back.
I’ve had chronic back problems for twenty years. I don’t know how the back pain started. I wasn’t doing anything crazy or out of the ordinary. It’s a mystery.
So every so often, I receive epidurals to manage the pain. My pain physician is very skilled at what he does, takes my pain seriously, and looks after me with the utmost professionalism. What more could I ask?
Friday’s Laughter
I had about 4 loads of laundry to do.
I’m not a dirty person, so laundry was easy to do.
Saturday’s Laughter
I saw my dietician for our weekly appointment., My husband Daniel came with me to support me, and his concern about my health really draws us closer together. It feels so good that we are able to freely share our feeling.
Saturday afternoon, we spent some time shopping.
The best sales seemed to have disappeared.
We also went by Target, and we really stuck to our list of items for once. Like everyone else, we only picked up what we absolutely needed.
The crowds in the store weren’t too bad, which made me feel more comfortable.
Everyone was in the holiday spirit and being so kind to each other. I was in the dressing room when someone politely knocked on the door to see if I was done.
Sunday’s Laughter
Sunday was partially spent completing my week-in-review post of the shenanigans of the past week.
Later, my husband Daniel and I went to a venue where, in two hours, you paint the same piece of art as the instructor has painted.
I did not paint well and made plenty of mistakes.
Well then, Bobb Ross, my painting had happy accidents splattered all over it.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed the time with Daniel, and his company made it all worth it.
And so we end another funny Week-in-Review of our crazy shenanigans.
Tune in next week for another funny review of this new week’s antics.
Time for me to say “later gators.:
