Welcome to my week in review for the week beginning November 12, 2018.
Monday
I had a session with our therapist Randy. He talked about something, something. I listened intently.
Tuesday
I had two doctors apointments.
First I met with my psychiatrist. It was my first visit with hime since I came back from a failed attempt at treatment for my eating disorder. My psychiatrist did not know I went to treatment until I told him, and he didn’t question me on how I was doing, except to ask how my meds were working.
I don’t really trust him. I think it’s time for a new psychiatrist.
Later in the day, I went to my internal medicine doctor. Though I’m not at my ideal weight and still battling my eating disorder, she encouraged me to go for walks to improve my mental health. My interaction with my Dr. Physical-Health just shows how little medical doctors know about mental health.
“I don’t feel well.”
“You look fine to me.”
*** (steps on soapbox)*** I love my doctor and definitely trust her with my physical health, but there is more to my health than the physical, and that is where the stigma is. It feels like it is taboo for a general practioner to deal with anything that can’t be seen under a microscope.
Wednesday
I stayed inside and wrote this blog post on a step-by-step guide on how to be an unpopular blogger. The words came so effortlessly that it was just such a pleasure to write.
I also did some online shopping. Wednesday. I might have bought Amazon.
Thursday
Thursday is a blur. I have no recollection of it.
Got to believe that.
Friday
I had a session with my therapist Randy. I was nonplussed by it.
Yeah. I was pretty oblivious to whatever Randy was saying.
Saturday
I met with my dietician Julie. She was very gentle and caring when she told me I need to get it together.
The rest of Saturday was about cleaning and organizing my apartment.
I felt very productive and accomplished.
I hope you enjoyed my week in review and I send you my wishes that your upcoming week is filled with hope, good times, and laughter.
Take care.
